EORTC (European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer)

The aims of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) are to develop, conduct, coordinate, and stimulate translational and clinical research in Europe to improve the management of cancer and related problems by increasing survival but also patient quality of life. Extensive and comprehensive research in this wide field is often beyond the means of individual European hospitals and can be best accomplished through the multidisciplinary multinational efforts of basic scientists and clinicians.

 

EuRetina (European Society of Retinal Specialists)

The aims of EuRetina are: to establish personal contacts and to promote the exchange of knowledge between vitreoretinal and macula specialists in Europe; to stimulate vitreoretinal and macula research in Europe; to promote the diffusion of specific knowledge to the general ophthalmologists in Europe; and to maintain contact with similar groups in other continents. The aims of the society will be realized by holding scientific meetings every two years and by offering its members a forum for the exchange of ideas.

 

EVER (European Association for Vision and Eye Research)

EVER is currently the leading ophthalmological research association in Europe and covers all areas of ophthalmology and the visual sciences. The aim of the association is to encourage research and the dissemination of knowledge concerning the eye and vision by means of meetings, publications and exchange of information.
