Retinal cavernous angioma

This is a rare, benign tumour arising from retinal blood vessels.


It has the appearance of a bunch of grapes at the back of the eye.

Most of these tumours do not cause any problems and do not need any treatment.


Similar tumours can develop in the brain to cause epilepsy and haemorrhages.


This condition can affect family members.
